2024 Volkswagen Taos Review: Prices, Specs, and Photos

The 2024 VW Taos comes with a good array of features for the money. The base S version now runs $25,345 to start, which actually represents a decline over last year’s model despite the presence of more features. You’ll find adaptive cruise control, active lane control, a digital instrument cluster, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen for infotainment, plus cloth upholstery.

All-wheel drive runs about $2,500 more, which is a costly upgrade compared to some of its rivals.

The Taos has good warranty coverage: its 4-year/50,000-mile plan also includes free maintenance for the first two years.

Its standard features and warranty give it two points above average, but its small touchscreen is a demerit. It’s a 6 on the TCC scale.

Which Volkswagen Taos should I buy?

The base S version is a smart enough buy. You could spend up for the SE with its automatic climate control, heated synthetic leather seats, and 8.0-inch touchscreen if you’re feeling particularly generous, or if you want access to the optional sunroof.

How much is a fully loaded Volkswagen Taos?

The Taos comes in at about $36,000 in fully loaded SEL guise with leather seats, 19-inch wheels, parking sensors, an upgraded instrument cluster, and Beats audio. It’s nicely equipped but shockingly expensive for a small SUV.
