What kind of vehicle is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque? What does it compare to?
Land Rover’s 2024 Range Rover Evoque is a small crossover SUV with somewhat chunky styling, a decent array of luxury features, and a remarkably high price tag. Shop it against the Audi Q5, BMW X4, and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
Is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque a good SUV?
If style is your priority, the 2024 Range Rover Evoque delivers attention-grabbing looks and a decent amount of features. It’s quite pricey and quite cramped, though. It’s a 6.4 on the TCC Scale. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
What’s new for the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque?
A new 11.4-inch touchscreen adorns the Evoque’s dash. Additionally, Land Rover has tweaked the entry-level Range Rover’s styling ever so slightly. The top HST version with its 296-hp mild-hybrid powertrain has been dropped along with a classy fabric upholstery option.
The Range Rover Evoque is a hunchback crossover that looks great on its huge 20-inch alloy wheels. It’s equally impressive inside, with a nicely crafted cabin with standard leather seats and plenty of optional extras. What its big price tag doesn’t buy, however, is much interior volume. The Evoque is a bite-size SUV.
It’s reasonably quick, though. The 2.0-liter turbo-4 puts out 246 hp via a 9-speed automatic transmission. The previously available mild-hybrid has bitten the dust for 2024. As a result, the 2024 Evoque really isn’t all that efficient. Look for a mediocre 22 mpg combined, per EPA test estimates.
While hardly a serious off-roader, the Range Rover Evoque has a nimble feel around town and standard all-wheel drive. It can nudge its way through deep water and over steep inclines, should you get really (and we mean really) lost on the way to High Street.
The interior is reasonably comfy, though rear-seat riders will find limited headroom and the cargo area suffers as a result of the sloping roofline. Standard leather seats dress things up.
All models have automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, plus parking sensors and a driver-attention monitor. That’s decent fare, even though neither the NHTSA nor the IIHS has crash tested the latest Evoque.
How much does the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque cost?
The 2024 Range Rover Evoque costs $51,075 to start, which buys leather seats, an 11.4-inch touchscreen, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a reasonable suite of driver-assistance tech.
This lineup can climb rapidly from there with options.
Where is the 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque made?
In England.
