Typically, YouMotorcycle focuses on informative motorcycle content. We go over how to do your own motorcycle maintenance, how different components of your motorcycle work, we review motorcycles and motorcycle related products together, and you guys share your own thoughts and experiences in the comments. I had a nice little downhill fat-biking accident, my everything hurts, and so this will not be one of those pieces of content.
In the last few videos I’ve included some footage of motorcycle riding around Toronto and you guys seem to have been enjoying that, so I thought, “Well why not show a bit more?” So today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite things about riding in Toronto: the breath and the depth that we have of different kind of historical buildings mixed in with modern ones all over the city. I was riding through the city the other day before my pedal-bike accident and just had to pull over with the drone to take some footage to share with you.
That was Our Lady of Lourdes. It was first opened in the late 1800s, and it’s a prime example of why I love riding in Toronto, we have such a mix of old and new.
Unfortunately, we’re losing more and more of our city’s heritage every day, as demand for condos keeps going up, and more and more beautiful Toronto landmarks keep getting torn down.
Our Lady of Lourdes has gone through many different names and changes over the last nearly 200 years, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere, but I still wanted to take a moment to share it with you.
